Leonard Ossofsky (Owens)

Ossofsky

This is my Father-In-law, Leonard Ossofsky (Owens) who was in the Battle Of The Bulge!

He was driving one of the tanks who crumbled straight through the walls to help liberate a camp, doing so proudly as a free Jewish man!

Soon after he rushed home and unfortunately changed his last name. He changed his name because he didn’t want to expose his future family to any harm as what was experienced and what he saw first handed during WWII. He then married the love of his life,  Selma and started a family! He has since passed, but we hold this story true to our hearts, including the Owens name as that is what he wanted! We are super proud of him!
