Dr. Sarah Halimi (née Lucie Attal) was born in Nogent-sur-Marne, France on November 30, 1952. She was a beloved Orthodox Jewish woman who dedicated her life to caring for others, first as a family physician and later as the director of a nursery school. Five years ago, on April 4, 2017, Sarah was attacked and killed in her apartment in the Belleville district of Paris. She was targeted only because she was Jewish. At 64 years old, Sarah was a devoted mother of three, a grandmother, a sister, and an aunt. May her memory forever be a blessing.
