THANK YOU: 94-year-old holocaust survivor, Walter Frankenstein, delivers a speech, during a ceremony at the memorial ‘Stille Helden’ (Silent Heroes) in Berlin. One of the most important tasks of Yad Vashem: World Holocaust Center, Jerusalem is to convey the gratitude of the state of Israel and the Jewish people to non-Jewish people who risked their lives to save Jews. They are honored as ‘Righteous among the nations’. To date, 26,513 men and women have received this title.
