Today is my Grandma Rhoda’s 95th birthday! Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 22, 1926. She is an incredible woman who was instrumental in the non-smoking movement and the reason that you don’t have smoking in restaurants and public places has a lot to do with her hard work with volunteer organizations on Long Island and all the debates that she has done on the radio and TV. She went on to study how to be a smokers cessation specialist and had a very high success rate in helping people stop smoking. This photo is of her receiving a citation for for the book that she wrote and being an outstanding citizen of the community. #MazalTov!
