Emma Glickman, a third generation survivor, is determined to learn her family’s story and share it with the world. Here she is holding a brick from her family’s hometown of Bzozówa, Poland, which she found on one of her visits to the town. The “T” on the brick indicates that it came from the Trachman Brick Factory, which was owned by Emma’s family until it was taken from them during the Holocaust. Emma is also wearing her grandma’s locket, which has teeth marks on it from biting down out of fear while hiding from the Nazis.
