He is best known for his TV roles on Seinfeld and The Big Bang Theory, but did you know that actor Brian George was born to a Jewish family in Jerusalem? Brian’s parents immigrated to Israel from India. His father was born in Lebanon, grew up in Bombay and is of Baghdadi Jewish (Iraqi) descent. His mother was from India’s Jewish community.
Born on July 1, 1952, Brian is the youngest of four siblings. When he was one year old, his family moved from Israel to London and later settled in Toronto. This week, the actor will celebrate his 71st birthday. #MazalTov!
