When I lived in Israel I met a girl who responded to “how are you?” with “Baruch Hashem (thank G-d)”
So one day I asked her why she always responded that way. She said because whether I’m doing well or I’m doing badly, whether I’m happy or I’m sad, whether I’m good or bad, I thank G-d. Since everything is from Him, then the bad must have purpose just as much as the good.
It’s been one month since Sophia’s diagnosis. And while it’s horrible, and terrible, and unfair, and difficult – we still Thank G-d. Because without our struggles, we may have never realized our strengths.
