The Arch of Titus was built 2,000 years ago as a symbol of triumph in the Jewish War, when the Roman general Titus conquered Jerusalem and destroyed our second Holy Temple. All that remains today is a retaining wall that surrounded Judaism’s holiest site, the Western Wall in Jerusalem. This week, the Roman landmark was lit with a blue and white Israeli flag.
