Growing up with an Israeli mother gave me a strong connection to Jewish life, and my grandfather’s experience as a Holocaust survivor instilled in me a deep sense of resilience, responsibility, and pride. Those influences shaped who I am, and I’m grateful to have grown up with role models who taught me to wear my Judaism proudly.
While I was a student at the University of Pittsburgh, the Tree of Life synagogue shooting deepened my connection to the Jewish community and inspired me to organize a fundraiser with fellow students.
After October 7th, I felt called to do more. That inspired me to start Chutzpah Coffee Company as another way to give back to the Jewish community.
I try to live those values every day. Since January, I’ve committed to wrapping tefillin daily as a reminder to stay connected to my faith and my identity.
If there’s one thing I hope to inspire, it’s for people to embrace their identity and be a little more Jewish each day.
