Eddie Jaku’s Advice for a Good Life

Eddie Jaku was born Abraham Jakubowicz on April 14, 1920, in Germany. After surviving Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps, Jaku later moved to Australia in the 1950s. He was best known as the author of the inspirational book, “The Happiest Man on Earth,” and was described as “an inspiration and joy” by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Jaku passed away in 2021 at the age of 101.

“I have seen the very worst in mankind, the horrors of the death camps, the Nazi efforts to exterminate my life, and the lives of all my people. But now I consider myself the happiest man on Earth. Through all my years I have learnt this: life can be beautiful if you make it beautiful … happiness is something we can choose. It is up to you.” – Eddie Jaku May his memory be a blessing.
