Meet my friend, Rafael.
Rafael and his mother made Aliyah (moved to live in Israel) in September 2020, from Brazil. Even a global pandemic didn’t stop them from fulfilling their zionist dream of living in the world’s only Jewish state.
After settling in, plus 14 days of quarantine, Rafael joined me on his first ever visit to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. He took out his flag of Israel, with which he came down the plane when landing here, and we took some great photos.
It was heartwarming to witness his emotions while he observed the Old City of Jerusalem, as an Israeli citizen. Rafael, I extend to you, and everyone else who recently made Aliyah, a very warm welcome home!
