In 1988, Nicholas Winton appeared on the BBC TV show, “That’s Life,” unaware that the people in the audience were alive because of him.
In 1939, Winton was a young British stockbroker who saved the lives of 669 Jewish children during the Holocaust.
He never spoke of what he did and it remained a secret for 50 years until his wife discovered a scrapbook in the attic with the names, photos, and documents of the children he had saved.
