Here is Marilyn Monroe, on the cover of an Israeli magazine, “Kaduregel” (football in Hebrew, or soccer of course), from 1957!
Legendary Israeli goalkeeper Ya’akov Hodorov is standing on the left, with New York State Supreme Court Justice Samuel Leibowitz on the right.
This photo was taken at a friendly soccer match on May 12th, 1957, between Hapoel Tel Aviv and a team of American All-Stars, which took place under the slogan “Long Live the State of Israel!”
The venue was historic Ebbets Field, home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Marilyn reportedly injured her leg while attempting to kick the ball.
