In 1939, a young British stockbroker named Nicholas Winton saved 669 Jewish kids from Czechoslovakia during the Holocaust.
He never spoke of what he did and it remained a secret for 50 years until his wife discovered a scrapbook in the attic with the names, photos, and documentations of the children he had saved.
In 1988, Winton appeared on a BBC tv show called “That’s Life” and was completely unaware that the people in the audience were alive because of him.
