CONDOLENCES: Rafi Eitan
Rafi Eitan famously led the operation to bring in Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann.
Born November 23, 1926 in Israel to Russian immigrants, Eitan served as a soldier in the Yiftach Brigade, participating in combat operations, and was wounded in combat on the day after Israeli independence was declared. Eitan was best known for when he commanded an eight man team that flew to Argentina in 1960 and brought Eichmann to Israel to stand trial.
