According to recent reports, the global Jewish population today is about 15.8 million, which is still below the pre-Holocaust estimate of 16.6 million in 1939. The majority of Jews currently live in just 2 countries: about 7.7 million in Israel and 6.3 million in the U.S., together making up roughly 14 million or nearly 90% of the world’s Jewish population. To give you an idea, the current world population is approximately 8 billion, making the global Jewish population of 15.8 million roughly 0.2%.
