On September 11th 2001, Zvi Gluck (Hatzolah) and Aviva Mayerfeld (EMT) met for the first time at ground zero. “September 11, 2001 is a day that Zvi and I won’t ever forget. All the people that lost their lives, civilians and rescue personnel. My father-in-law missing. Both of us spending time (separately) with Sammy Erez A”H. Carrying firemen that with their equipment weighed triple our weight. Many other memories but my favorite, my husband seeing me for the first time and saying:
“Who does she think she is? She thinks she’s macher, I pity the fool who marries her!”‘
