“After being abandoned by her parents at birth due to birth defects, this little girl found a home at Aleh Negev, the world’s first full life-cycle facility for people with special needs. At 3, she was adopted by a family who came to visit her every day and the doctors predicted that she would be one of the few who would be able to live a successful, happy, full, independent life. Last week, she went home to her new family. Aleh Negev is part of the community however – the local children go to Kindergarten with the residents, and people of all ages come for rehabilitation services, volunteering, and play. There’s no place like it in the world and it’s all #PoweredByJNF.”
