The Bar Mitzvah Fund was created to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged families with the expenses for the Jewish ritual of becoming Bar Mitzvah. A Bar Mitzvah is when a Jewish boy turns thirteen and becomes responsible for fulfilling all of the biblical commandments. The fund assists parents with the financial burden thus allowing all to enjoy this momentous occasion and allowing the Bar Mitzvah to enjoy his big day, regardless of the obstacles around him and/or his family.
