“Caption this…
This may look like a totally WHAT! WHAT! moment but for three Jewish women trying to get into a taxi or on a bus in Jerusalem before Shabbas while traffic is stopped for a memorial and then minimal time to get there while taxi drivers are trying to rob us with an outstanding taxi charge.
When something incredible happens…
A religious man steps forward and offers his help. A man calls his wife to tell her he is helping us, rushes through the streets of old Jerusalem to get us to the train.
This kind generous man rushing home for his own family helped us to the train station, was amazed at how quickly the three Canadian girls could walk the cobble stone streets and showed us respect, a kind heart, and generosity.
We got to the Shuk, shopped, bargained and got back in time all because of the generosity (mitzvah) of this one man.
Lesson: Don’t judge the black hat, this was the last person who I thought would walk with us through the streets of Jerusalem but he did for the sake of focusing on helping someone for Shabbat” – Felicia Laba Taub
