I am so honored, exactly 100 years later, to be able to serve my new country as well and carry with me the prayer book that he used during World War I, and that my great uncle used during World War II. I wish I could go back 100 years and tell my great grandfather about the incredible country that we have now. I hope he’d be proud of me for following in his footsteps and defending my new home.
